Hey Mama! Welcome to my little slice of heaven, where your experienced maternity and newborn photographer (yep, that’s me) works hard to build a village meant to support you during your motherhood journey. This is where I share all of the good stuff I wish I had in my pregnancies, and through my postpartum periods. This particular blog is about upcoming Birth Classes in Bay Minette – perfect for all Baldwin County expecting moms.
I am so proud of you for finding this blog! If you are reading this, that means you have took the first steps to preparing your mind and body for bringing forth new life. That is something to celebrate. SO many women go in unprepared, and find themselves confused, scared, and unsure on what to do, what to ask, and what to expect.
Perhaps you googled “birth classes near me“, “Baldwin county childbirth classes“, or something like “how to prepare for childbirth?” Regardless of the verbiage you used, you found just the blog to help you! Not only does this include information on the 2025 birth classes at North Baldwin Infirmary, but it also includes great links for information on breastfeeding, birth doulas, midwives, postpartum doulas/newborn care specialist and me – your favorite maternity and newborn photographer.
Understanding what to expect during the third trimester, active labor, delivery, and the postpartum period can help ease your anxiety and empower you, and your birthing partner. These birth classes in Bay Minette are perfect for moms all over Baldwin County – Daphne, Spanish Fort, Fairhope, Foley, Robertsdale, and more!
The class offers evidence-based education in a warm and supportive environment. It is lead by one of my personal favorite lactation consultants – McKenzie Benton. At the end of this blog, I’ll list a couple more blogs you can read that is all about breastfeeding support from McKenzie, and how she can help you through your journey.
Held at North Baldwin Infirmary, this free Bay Minette childbirth class is offered several times throughout 2025. The upcoming dates include:
The classes are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 1815 Hand Avenue Bay Minette, AL 36507.
You have to register for the class online, and you can do so HERE.
Honestly, yes… you sure do need a birthing class, especially if you are a first time mom! I am a firm believe that knowledge is power that no one can take from you. You need to be empowered as you head into this experience.
With is being hosted at North Baldwin Infirmary, you’ll have the chance to tour the Birth Center and possibly meet some of the wonderful staff who would be part of your birthing team, if you plan to deliver there. If you don’t plan to birth there, the class will teach you about labor and delivery, comfort measures and pain management options, postpartum care guidance, and breastfeeding help!
Below I’ve linked a blog about a birth doula who I am proud to have in my village. Her name is Asia! Unfortunately, I met her once my child birthing days had come to a close. Thankfully, I can introduce you to her!
A birth doula is support for YOU. Her job is to make sure you are supported, seen, heard, and took care of during your pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period. I encourage you to take a moment to read her blog, and reach out to see if the two of you are a good fit.
Not only as a maternity and newborn photographer, but also as a mother, I cannot express to you the importance of knowledge. I said it earlier, but I’ll say it again – knowledge is empowering, which is exactly what you need when bringing forth new life!
With McKenzie hosting these Baldwin county birth classes, you can expect compassionate care rooted in experience, and driven by the desire to help moms have the best experience.
Since you’ve found this blog, you are my kind of mama. You are a planner, and you want the best for yourself and your baby.
